How Zoap Got Its Clean Vibes

With so many hybrids and new strains coming to the market these days, the origins of specific cultivars can be hard to pin down—which is the case with Zoap. It was reportedly first grown by Deep East Oakland (DEO Farms), beginning with OZ Kush seeds, which were then bred with Pink Guava and Rainbow Sherbert—thus creating the Zoap strain.

With balanced and long-lasting effects, this potent hybrid is one of the most universally crowd-pleasing strains we’ve come across in a long, long time, thanks to its illustrious parents. Rainbow Sherbert and Pink Guava are two flavorful hybrids that bring both sweetness and good vibes.

Rainbow Sherbert greets you with sugary, fruity aromas before easing you into a relaxed yet clear-headed state, making it perfect for daytime adventures or bursts of creative inspiration. Pink Guava, on the other hand, delivers a tropical fruit punch with THC levels nearing 30%—definitely one to savor in small doses. Its balanced effects make it ideal for giggling fits, laid-back socializing, and mellow moments with friends. As you can see, each brings standout characteristics to Zoap.

IS ZOAP STRAIN INDICA OR SATIVA?

Generally speaking, it’s widely accepted that indica strains tend to produce relaxing, body-centered effects, while sativas impart a more euphoric and energizing high. The terms are a bit outdated, but they can be an excellent way to explain the impact of certain strains. In reality, most strains tend to be hybrids or combinations of these two styles. Zoap is no exception; known for a notably balanced effect, it’s an even-heeled hybrid that delivers touches of both styles of cannabis through its outstanding lineage.

How Potent Is the Zoap Strain?

Since cannabis is an agricultural product, the exact THC content of any given batch of a strain will vary. However, most growers and manufacturers find that Zoap typically tests out in the 21% – 25% THC neighborhood, while well-tended crops—including our own house-grown Zoap—can test higher (ours is currently 30%).

Zoap also contains about 1% CBG, a medically impactful cannabinoid that has shown potential in reducing anxiety and stress.

Appearance, Flavor, and Aroma

Before diving into the Zoap experience, it’s worth appreciating just how much of a sensory journey this strain offers. From its eye-catching buds to its complex bouquet of aromas, Zoap is a strain that doesn’t just get you high—it draws you in like a hot shower at the end of a long day.

APPEARANCE

Visually, Zoap is as impressive as its effects. Its dense, rounded buds are a deep olive-green, and a generous dusting of frosty trichomes signals its potency from the start. With subtle hints of purple glimmering beneath the surface, it’s a look that says this strain means business—and it delivers on that promise.

FLAVORS & AROMA

When it comes to scent and flavor, Zoap lives up to its playful name while offering far more than a “soapy” aroma.  You might catch notes of fresh-picked cherries, hints of earthy woodland, or even the subtle tang of citrus—depending on your nose. These complex fragrances are thanks to Zoap’s terpene profile, which features a few standout compounds that don’t just influence aroma but also contribute to the overall experience:

  • Limonene: Another unforgettable terpene, this bright and citrusy compound may impart antidepressant effects along with its lemon-kissed aroma and flavor.
  • Humulene: Floral and slightly bitter, hops is another major source of humulene. This terpene imparts a distinctively herbal aroma, and some studies suggest it serves as a potential antimicrobial agentand powerful anti-inflammatory.

Together, these terpenes don’t just define Zoap’s scent—they shape the very nature of its clean and vibrant high.

Zoap Strain Effects: A Euphoric and Balanced Ride

Like many—if not most—strains, Zoap is a hybrid, so it tends to impart a balanced blend of both indica and sativa effects. On the uplifting side, it’s often described as giggly, mood-boosting, and creatively stimulating.

As the high settles in, it tends to melt into a more relaxing body sensation—one that many fans turn to when they’re looking to unwind or ease mental and physical tension.  It’s a versatile strain that can complement everything from a creative afternoon to a chill evening wind-down.
